Chris Evans celebrated National Rescue Dog Day with pooch Dodger

In 2017, an Avenger who was a shelter-bound dog found a loving home for him couldn’t keep his hands from a puppy.

Chris Evans shared another picture of Dodger, his rescue puppy, on Instagram yesterday. It was five years after the original. In honor of National Rescue Dog Day, this was taken.

Evans posted a ‘gram last year on National Rescue Dog Day that Dodger was first found in Savannah, GA.

In the caption, dated May 20, 2021 Evans stated that this was “The moment I met Dodger”. The scene was shot on location at shelter. Even though I did not intend to rescue that dog on the day, I became smitten with him as soon as I saw him.

The “Captain America” leader man, Dodger (then Benny), was stunned to discover him in 2017 in shelter.


His words were, “There is so many loving animals in shelters who are desperately need of a home.” You can bring a friend along to shelters.

Evans captured a video clip with Dodger of their first interaction at the shelter, in February 2019. This was part of Love Your Pet Day which focuses on companion animals.

The leader man of “Captain America” said that he was there for “about a month.” He ran so quickly!
